WHO AM I
Names Alexi, or Lex or Lexi as some people call me. I'm a senior (how is that possible..) Sports Communication major and Business minor at a small southern liberal arts college that I love called Berry College in Rome, Ga. Hailing from the bluegrass state, I bleed blue inside and out. I cheer on the Cats each and every single day. And this is just a little blog I have to keep myself busy and update the fam/fans...
When I was a kid all I wanted to do was attend the University of Kentucky and be a dance cat. Little did I know that my whole world would come crashing down my senior year of high school. God took what I thought was a picture perfect life and hit me with a reality check. I grew bitter and developed depression as the year progressed. But just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, I got a phone call that turned my life around. I received a work study scholarship to attend Berry College and I jumped at the opportunity. A few weeks later my grandfather died, making me question my faith and trust in God. Grandpa was the last person I wanted to disappoint and I didn't even get the chance to tell him I was going to Berry. I wondered what this all meant in my life, and if I should really leave the state of Kentucky. But something inside me told me I needed to go. And I'm glad I did.
